Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through ClearScript. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms below. All refunds are issued to the original payment method and are processed in U.S. Dollars (USD).

EU/EEA Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within fourteen (14) days of the transaction date, without giving any reason, as provided under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). However, by starting your trial or subscription and using the Service, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the digital service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the digital content has been fully provided or, in the case of an ongoing digital service, once performance has begun with your prior express consent. To the extent that performance has only partially begun, you may be entitled to a proportional refund of the subscription fee (excluding the trial fee, which is non-refundable). To exercise withdrawal, contact us at hey@clearscript.ai within the 14-day period. We will process eligible withdrawals within 14 days using the same payment method as the original transaction.

Trial Periods

The trial fee disclosed at checkout is non-refundable. The trial fee is a separate charge from your subscription and is collected at the time of trial activation. If you cancel your subscription before the trial period expires, you will not be charged the full subscription fee. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable rate, and you will be charged accordingly. It is your responsibility to cancel before the trial ends if you do not wish to continue.

Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hey@clearscript.ai. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for partial months. We offer a full refund of the most recent monthly subscription charge if requested within forty-eight (48) hours of the initial subscription activation (not renewal). This 48-hour refund window applies only to the first subscription charge, not to subsequent renewals. Renewal charges are non-refundable.

Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. If you request cancellation within thirty (30) days of your initial annual subscription purchase, we will issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of your subscription term, minus any trial fees and the value of any word packs or add-ons consumed. After thirty (30) days from the initial purchase, no refund is available, but you will retain access to paid features until the end of your annual billing period. Annual renewal charges are non-refundable.

Word Packs & Add-Ons

Word pack purchases are one-time, non-subscription purchases. Once any words from a purchased word pack have been consumed (used for detection, humanization, or other processing), the word pack purchase is non-refundable. If no words from a word pack have been consumed, you may request a full refund within seven (7) days of purchase. After seven (7) days, unused word packs are non-refundable.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email hey@clearscript.ai with: (a) the email address associated with your ClearScript account; (b) the date of the charge you are requesting a refund for; and (c) the reason for your refund request. We will review your request and respond within five (5) business days. Approved refunds are typically processed within seven to ten (7 to 10) business days, though your financial institution may take additional time to reflect the credit.

Chargebacks & Disputes

We strongly encourage you to contact us at hey@clearscript.ai before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving billing issues quickly and fairly. IMPORTANT: Initiating a chargeback, payment dispute, or card reversal does NOT constitute cancellation of your subscription. Your subscription remains active and subject to auto-renewal until properly cancelled through the methods described in our Subscription Terms. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in: (a) delays in resolution; (b) additional administrative fees; (c) immediate suspension of your account and access to the Service pending investigation; and (d) forfeiture of any remaining word balance or subscription benefits. We reserve the right to provide transaction records, evidence of service delivery, records of account activity, and proof of your acceptance of these Terms to your payment provider in response to any chargeback or dispute. Repeated or fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination and referral to collection services.

Refund Disclaimer

Refunds are granted at the sole discretion of Flouvou LLC and are subject to the conditions described in this Policy. We reserve the right to deny refund requests that do not meet the criteria above, or where we reasonably believe the request is fraudulent or abusive. This Refund Policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
